UPDATE: Macon man dies after being shot, deputies investigating

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Quintavius Threatt died at the hospital after being shot in his side Friday night

MACON, Ga. — UPDATE, Saturday at 2:26 a.m.:

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office identified the shooting victim as 21-year-old Quintavius Threatt.

Threatt was transported to the Medical Center, Navicent Health where he died early Saturday morning, according to a news release.

The sheriff's office is investigating the case as a homicide.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a person shot Friday night.

According to a news release, the shooting reportedly happened on Robinson Drive, just before 11 p.m. Deputies responded to the location and found a man with a single gunshot wound to his side.

He was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. No one else was injured.

This shooting is still under investigation.
