A Perry man plead guilty to five counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children last week.

According to a press release from Houston County's District Attorney George Hartwig, on June 21, 23-year-old Brian Ansley was sentenced to 20 years on possession of child pornography.

Each of the five counts charged him with possession of separate images.

The images were found in 2016 on Ansley’s electronic devices following a search warrant at his home.

Judge G.E. “Bo” Adams of the Houston Superior Court presided over the sentence hearing and handed down the sentence.

"Friday’s sentence by Judge Adams sends a strong message that the possession of this kind of material will not be tolerated in Houston County," said Assistant District Attorney Eric Edwards.

Following his release from prison, Ansley will be required to register as a sex offender.
